How VA Community Care Dental Works

1

Confirm Eligibility with the VA

Before community dental care can begin, you must be enrolled in or eligible for VA health care and receive authorization from your VA care team.

2

Request Us as Your Provider

Ask your VA clinic to list Viera Dental Design Studio as your preferred community dental provider. We'll share any office details the VA needs.

3

Referral & Authorization

Once the VA approves your referral, they send an authorization to our office. After we confirm it, we'll call you to schedule your appointment.

Tip: Your VA care coordinator may use specific forms (such as a Request for Service) to authorize care. Make sure all documentation is complete to avoid delays.

Veterans Dental Care FAQ

Do I need a VA referral?

Yes — community care dental services must be authorized by the VA before treatment begins.

Can I be seen here without VA approval?

You're always welcome as a patient. To have the VA cover your care through the Community Care Network, a VA authorization is required. Without one, you're still welcome to schedule as a regular patient.

What if I already have dental coverage?

Some Veterans qualify for the VA Dental Insurance Program (VADIP), which can lower the cost of private dental insurance.

Request VA Community Care Scheduling

VA Community Care visits are scheduled once the VA sends us your authorization, so please don't book online — share your details below and our team will reach out to coordinate your appointment. Already have your authorization? Let us know and we'll expedite.
